The Content Submission Portal (v1.5.8901.28074) has been updated.

Features:

• Enhanced the CSP to trigger the installation of a completed submission via the AGCO Update Client:
• This is intended to support the delivery of EDT Content to be tested
• This feature may be used both by Content Authors and Field Test, as long as an account has been created

The Content Submission Portal (v1.5.8314.33379) has been updated.

Feature:

• Enhanced the CSP to show only Successful submissions by default. This filter may be toggled using the "Show All States" button outlined below.
• Enhanced the paging on the CSP's Submit Content page to be more consistent with other CSP pages.
• The list of submissions may now be refreshed using the button outlined below.

Bug Fix:

• Fixed an issue in the CSP where the list of vehicles associated with a master could not be modified by Content Authors.

We have made a few underlying technology changes to the CSP submission building process today.

The installer build and validation processes have remained the same, but we have moved on to a new build system that should be easier to maintain, support and extend in the long-term. The user interface for the job submissions have also changed to provide more detail and better understanding of progress as well as better error reporting.

Please be aware that there is no change in how you use the site.

We have made two improvements on the Submission Portal:

1. A template is provided for a Model Master's Release Notes when a making a new submission.This template is also in any additional sections that are added:

Adding/Editing Vehicles Affected to Content Definition

• Click "New Content Definition" on Content Submissions page

• Select brand and type in model series. The model series should match marketing names the dealers know. Add multiple vehicles affected by clicking "Add Vehicle Affected".

Adding Vehicle Version to Release Notes

•  Before you start adding your release notes on the Content Submission page, click on the far left button. (shown in red box below). This will add a section break and a placeholder for vehicle version.

• Do not edit the placeholders [SectionBreak] and {VehicleVersion}, nor what you see in the markdown. The stringid enables us to translate "Vehicle Version" into the appropriate languages. 

• Once the submission is successful, you can go back to the release note editor and see the vehicle version substituted correctly on the WYSIWYG editor and some of the previews. 

Changes in release notes process

• Release notes need to be submitted through the Markdown/WYSIWYG editor in the Content Submission Portal to maintain a common format.
• Release notes opens in tab (Allow new tabs if blocked).
• It’s not plain text, Markdown format.
• Preview of release notes as marked for release can be seen.

Markdown/WYSIWYG Editor

Markdown is a plain text format for writing structured documents, based on conventions for indicating formatting. WYSIWYG format is what you see is what you get.

Content Submission Portal has a page visible to all users that has a table showing all Clients in the Test Push group.  Content author can add/remove Client to the test push group.
